The game is set in a fictional world and allows players to take control of one of the five factions and engage in tactical battles against the other factions.
Understanding the Game Mechanics
Before diving into the strategies, it is essential to understand the game mechanics. The game is turn-based, meaning that each player takes turns to make their moves. The game is played on a hexagonal grid, and players move their units across the grid to attack and defend against enemy units.
There are different types of units in the game, such as infantry, tanks, and artillery. Each unit has its strengths and weaknesses, and it is essential to understand them to make effective moves on the battlefield. https://www.game24hours.com/2023/03/daikaijuu-monogatari-2-monster-tale.html
Understanding the Terrain: The terrain plays a crucial role in the game. Understanding the terrain can help you make effective moves and gain an advantage over your opponent. For example, tanks move faster on open terrain, while infantry can move through forests and mountains more easily.
Focus on Defense: While it is essential to be aggressive in the game, it is equally important to focus on defense. You need to protect your units from enemy attacks and ensure that they are not vulnerable to counter-attacks.
Use Terrain to Your Advantage: As mentioned earlier, the terrain can be used to your advantage. You can use mountains and forests to hide your units and launch surprise attacks on your opponent.
Scout the Battlefield: Before making any move, it is essential to scout the battlefield. Scouting can help you identify enemy units and their positions, allowing you to plan your moves accordingly.
Create a Balanced Army: Having a balanced army is crucial to winning the game. You need to have a mix of infantry, tanks, and artillery to ensure that you can counter any attack from your opponent.
Use the Fog of War to Your Advantage: The Fog of War is a game mechanic that hides parts of the battlefield from the player. You can use the Fog of War to your advantage by hiding your units and surprising your opponent.
Be Aggressive: While defense is crucial, being aggressive can help you win the game. You need to attack your opponent's weak spots and keep the pressure on them.
Keep Your Units Close: Keeping your units close can help you protect them from enemy attacks and coordinate your moves effectively.
Plan Ahead: Planning ahead is crucial to winning the game. You need to anticipate your opponent's moves and plan your moves accordingly.
Know Your Units: Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your units is crucial to making effective moves on the battlefield. For example, tanks are excellent at attacking, but they are vulnerable to attacks from artillery.
Daisenryaku Expert SNES is a challenging and exciting game that requires a strategic mindset to win. By understanding the game mechanics and using the winning strategies mentioned above, you can become an expert at the game and dominate the battlefield.
Nice to see this old game getting some love. The WW2 version is good too. I did find in playing through the "Beginner" campaign, that your computer-controlled allies played stupidly enough to put winning at least a couple of the missions in jeopardy. In that case, it works best to change to human player control and command them yourself. The only caveat, if you do that, be careful of accidently triggering friendly fire incidents. ;-) I might add, the AI thinking routine is slow in both games but the music is soothing.ReplyDelete
